Hormonious ("we," "our," or "the app") helps you track your hormonal health, nutrition, and movement across every life stage. This policy explains what data we collect, how we store it, and the choices you have. We wrote it in plain language.
Account and nutrition data: Your account, nutrition logs, and activity data are stored in our secure cloud backend (Supabase). Supabase servers are located in the United States.
Cycle and period data: Your menstrual cycle data — including period dates, cycle length, and symptoms — is stored locally on your device only and is never automatically synced to our servers.
Partner SMS exception: If you enable the Partner Updates feature, your most recent period date is sent to our backend solely to detect cycle changes and send your partner's weekly notification. This data is used for no other purpose.
AI coach conversations: Messages you send to the AI coach are transmitted to Anthropic's API to generate responses. Anthropic processes these messages per their API usage policy and does not use API inputs to train their models. We do not store your conversation content on our servers.
Subscription and billing: Subscription status and purchase records are managed through Apple In-App Purchases.
We treat your menstrual and reproductive health data as especially sensitive. We do not voluntarily share this data with law enforcement. If we receive a legally valid court order or subpoena requiring disclosure, we will comply with applicable law — but we will attempt to notify you before doing so to the extent we are legally permitted, and will seek to narrow the scope of any such request where possible.
If you are located in California, Washington, Colorado, Illinois, New York, Oregon, Montana, Nevada, or Connecticut, you may have additional rights under your state's reproductive health data protection laws.
We do not sell your data. We do not share personal health information with advertisers. We do not use your health data to build advertising profiles.
We retain your account and health data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, we will delete your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you within the timeframe required by applicable law, and will describe the nature of the breach, the data affected, and the steps we are taking in response.
You have the right to know what data we hold about you, request deletion, correct inaccurate data, and receive a copy of your data. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights. We do not sell or share personal information as defined by California law.

You must be 18 or older to use this app. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have collected data from someone under 18, please contact us immediately.
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time from the app settings.
We will notify you of material changes via the app or email before they take effect.
